Kurrajong Village is one of the finest student accommodation in Perth. Located near Curtin University South Oval, the property offers variety of apartments and studio to choose from. Additionally, Curtin University is 10 minutes walk away from the property and Canning College is just 4 minutes drive away from the property.

All of the rooms at Kurrajong Village are modern, comfortable, and well-equipped. Each room offers a single bed, wardrobe, fan, ironing board,  lamp, en-suite bathroom, study desk and chair. High speed Wifi, parking, bike storage and other utilities bills are included in the rent. Moreover, the property provides gym membership, On Site Reception, After Hours Emergency Staff and 24 hr CCTV security for students. Accommodation also has amazing social places where you can celebrate Community events or can enjoy Barbeque grills with your friends. 

Location and What's Hot?

Kurrajong Village is situated near the south-west boundary of Curtin University's Perth campus. Old Chang Kee restaurant is just around the corner if you want to eat delicious food and Aroma Cafe is also in the vicinity if you want to drink a coffee. Sill Park is also nearby to take a relaxing walk in the evening. You don't have to worry about daily grocery shopping and supplies as Coles supermarket is just a short walk away.

There are multiple bus stops around the Kurrajong Village. Manning Rd bus stop is 7 minutes walk away from the property and Kent St bus stop is 9 minutes away. Furthermore Canning Bridge train Station is only 8 minutes drive away.

Cancellation Policy :-  


If you need to cancel your booking you can do so by emailing them before your contract start date. The Administration Fee and a one-week cancellation fee will apply. The remaining balance of any payments will be refunded to you. 

Cancellations on or after your contract start date will be considered an early termination and only be applicable if: 

 -You have withdrawn from Curtin University, or, 

 -There are exceptional extenuating circumstances. 

The process for early terminations is outlined in the Accommodation Agreement in further detail. 


Special circumstances for cancellation: 

First years at Curtin University have the option to cancel their contract up until 14 days prior to their contract start date without penalty. This cancellation can be processed, and the balance of payments refunded to you, provided that documentation is received by the reservations team at least 14 days prior to the contract start date. This documentation must confirm non-acceptance/deferral of Curtin University's offer or failure to be offered a place at Curtin University.

Is Internet / WiFi included in my rent?

If you are a Curtin student it is included in your rent. If you are not a Curtin student, they have a selection of internet packages available for you to discuss in further detail with reception.

Do you have Bicycle Storage?

Yes, the bike storage is FREE and bicycles must be stored in the storage area provided. Residents are restricted to storing one (1) bicycle per person.

Do I need to pay a Security Deposit?

If you are a Curtin student, they do not charge you a security deposit or bond. If you are a non-Curtin student, you will be required to pay a security deposit equivalent to 4 weeks rent.

What additional fees need to be paid once a room is booked?

The following fees are payable on acceptance of Accommodation Agreement:- Administration Fee - AUD 123 per booking
Activity Fee - AUD 112 per person, per semester
Facility Fee - AUD 68 per person, per semester
Departure Fee - AUD 115 per room to be paid upfront

What happens if I need to cancel my booking before my contract start date?

Do you have car park facilities?

Parking is FREE. Limited reserved car parking is provided for property at Curtin residents. Permits are compulsory and available from Property's reception.

What do I need before I move in?

All rooms are furnished with a bed, study desk and chair, lamp and wardrobe. A multi-share apartment has a full-size kitchen with fridge, oven, stove and microwave. In the common area there is a couch, dining table and chairs and T.V; there is a bathroom shared between 2-3 people.. A studio apartment will contain a kitchenette with microwave, stove- top and fridge plus an ensuite bathroom.  You can purchase an All-In-One Essential pack available online via their convenient property online shop, Your Shop.

What do I do if I have a visitor?

You can have guests visit you at Property. As this is a secure student accommodation building, all residents are required to meet their guests at the entrance door as this is only accessible by a resident swipe card/key. If your guest is staying after 10pm, this is classified as an overnight guest and you will be required to fill out an application at reception.
 

What do I do if I want to change rooms after I move in?

Once you have signed a contract for your room, there is a AUD 100 room move administration fee plus a departure clean fee should you decide to move to a different room within on-campus housing. Room moves are subject to availability.

Can I move out at any time?

When you move into your apartment, you sign a Residential Agreement. This is a legally binding document that means you have committed to paying rent from the start date on your contract until the end date of your contract. However, if you have no choice but to move out, you can break your lease if your enrolment status has changed, or, you have exceptional extenuating circumstances. Please refer to the Resident Handbook for more information on this process. 

What happens when I vacate my room?

You need to leave your apartment clean and tidy, and ensure all personal items have been removed, report any damage that may have been caused during your tenancy.

What is included in the Activity Fee?

The Activity Fee of AUD 112 per semester covers all your weekly activities through their Residential Life Program. Residential Life is an integrated, contemporary, residential life program, run by property for their Residents. It is designed to support and bring out the best in each Resident through the duties and activities carried out by Residential Advisors, the Residential Life Manager, the Customer Service Staff, and the Area General Manager. They host many different events each month.

Can I request to live with friends?

You can insert your friends' name in the Special Needs section of the application. Please ensure all of your friends also include all of your names in their applications.

Are there scholarships available?

Curtin has a range of Scholarships available for academic year and semester study options.

What happens if the room I want is not available?

If your preferred room type is not available,  they will be in touch with you and offer a room that is closest to your original preference. If you do not wish to accept this alternative offer, you can remain on a waitlist for your preferred room type.

Can I request to live with people who identify as the same gender as I do?

You can request to live with others who identify as the same gender as you. Please ensure you have selected No under Are you okay to share in a mixed gender room? in your application. They try to accommodate all preferences, but  they  cannot guarantee them.
