Who can live at Campus Perth?

How will you handle 17 year olds?

We will try to place all 17 year olds in same rooms and floors so they can be monitored easily. We need signed documents from their parents/guardians for their RTA agreements. Due to being a minor (under the age of 18), they will also have to report to the Community Manager a couple of times each week so we can monitor their progress and mental health.

Will you have gender specific rooms?

Yes, unless otherwise requested.

What are your special features?

Lifestyle and design orientated build

City centre location

What are your security features?

Lockable draws for each student in each room.

What about shared kitchens and cultural differences e.g. kosher, vegan, halal etc.

If we have enough students requesting a kosher/halal/vegan kitchen, we will happily dedicate a communal kitchen to them.

How will you be across cultural differences?

We are taking a proactive approach by ensuring that our whole team understand how diverse each culture is. Campus Perth has partnered with Mate in Oz, an organisation who is dedicated to international student services, and they will be providing our whole team with cultural awareness training on a bi yearly basis. All students will have to participate in an orientation program where we will clearly state Campus Rules which will address expectations on considerate and harmonious community living, Australian values and the approachability of our Residential Advisors to communicate any issues (big or small).

If there are any tensions within rooms, we will accommodate these students by moving them into new rooms. We really want to be proactive, rather than reactive.

Why is Perth a great destination to study?

Perth is a great destination to study, with a Mediterranean like climate Perth is the sunniest city in Australia! It has the best student diversity, offers 40% off public transport, has a great arts and cultural scene. It has been frequently ranked in the top 10 live-able cities ranking #7 last year (2017).
