Residents must comply with all directions from property management about noise minimization, particularly in response to noise complaints from other residents of the property or neighbors of the property. Visitors
A visitor is defined as a person who is meeting with a resident for a short period, while a guest is defined as a person who is staying overnight with a resident by the Rules.
All visitors are required to leave the property by midnight (unless otherwise notified to Residents). Any visitor present in the property after the specified time will be considered an 'unauthorized person' to which Rule 52 (Overnight Guests & Unauthorised Occupancy) and Rule 69 (Trespassing) applies. See also Rule 13 (Conduct of Guests and Visitors).
If you are looking to check into the property on the weekend, there will be a member of staff or Resident Assistant on duty who will be able to assist you. Please notify the property, if you plan to check in after 5pm on Friday and they will be able to provide you with the relevant contact details for the person on duty.
If you plan to arrive very late at night or early in the morning, please give them as much notice as possible so they can ensure someone is there to welcome you.
The property accepts Murdoch University and MIT students only until the 1st of January, and if availability allows the property management may open up to students from other tertiary facilities such as TAFE and Private College.
You are allowed to bring oil heaters. Fan heaters are NOT allowed in the property.
All of their contract dates as advertised are non-negotiable.
The property does not provide catering. However each apartment has access to a fully equipped kitchen including a fridge, freezer, stovetop and microwave so feel free to cook up a storm at any time of the day.
Freemantle is south of the property and the CBD is north. Bus number 98;99, leaves every 8 minutes either way.
All rooms within the apartment have a window.
You will not be able to access your room or leave any belongings in the property before your contract starts.
You are able to submit preferences for specific rooms during the application process. They will do their best to accommodate all requests during the allocation process; however, due to the high capacity of requests they cannot guarantee anything or make any promises.
They open applications early due to the high demand of students looking for residential accommodation. To secure a room at this property, they recommend make your application as soon as possible, to make sure you don't miss out!
Although they do not encourage overnight guests, they do understand that you may have someone stay from time to time. Please make sure that you sign your guest into reception upon arrival and sign them out on departure.
As per the property rules, you can have a guest stay no more than 2 consecutive nights in a 7 day period and they must be respectful to all the property rules.

You don't need to find your own roommates. If you're interested in a shared apartment, they will do their best to pair you with people who have similar preferences.
If you already have specific individuals you'd like to live with, please list their names in the roommate preferences section of your application. Whilst they will try to accommodate these requests, please be aware that they cannot guarantee them due to the high volume of requests they receive.
The property management fosters independent living while also accommodating students just moving out of home for the first time. There is a strong communal attitude among the residents; however, it also helps students adjust to a more self-sufficient lifestyle where they look after themselves through their cooking, laundry and housekeeping duties. There are many options for residents to become involved in the property atmosphere, while also providing an environment where the resident can also choose not to participate and this is okay. In the case of any queries, the property team is always there for support in case the student is looking for assistance.
The property is located 23km from Perth Airport and is approximately a 30-minute drive depending on the time of the day, a taxi is approximately AU$45- AU$60.
While Murdoch students are given preference for accommodation, non-Murdoch students are also eligible to apply. This includes research assistants and full-time, part-time, undergraduate and postgraduate students of any tertiary institution.
Accommodation to non-Murdoch University students will be offered from 2nd January.
There are no TV's supplied, however you are welcome to bring your own for your room or to share with your flatmates in the lounge room.
Please note there are antennas in the lounge room only, not located in the bedrooms.
They recommend waiting until you have arrived at the property before purchasing a TV in case your flatmates already have one.
Most of their rooms are single occupancy, however they do have a limited number of dual occupancy rooms available.
For information regarding airport pick-up, the university has options for 'airport pickup'.
The kitchens are already kitted out with basic amenities, such as the fridge and the microwave. However, you will need to supply your own utilities such as a toaster, kettle, and sandwich press for example. If you live in shared accommodation, you can always wait until you meet your roommates to organise a group shop to figure out what everyone has brought along with them.
Roommate allocations are conducted in accordance with any requests, such as: study preference, age, and gender. To make a request, you will be prompted to include these during the application process.

Yes. You can book a number of different rooms from the outdoor theatre to the rec room to the study room.
These are free of charge and can be booked for up to 2 hours on any given day.
If you are locked out of your room during office hours, please make your way to reception or call their office and one of their staff will be able to assist you.
After hours, please call the RA to advise them.
Living in shared accommodation means that everyone needs to pitch in to keep the apartment clean and tidy.
