Bradford College


Bradford College is a further education college located in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The College was founded in 1832, as the Bradford Mechanics Institute. In the year 1863, the institute had its own School of Industrial Design and Art, which later grew to accommodate its full-time staff. The institution became Bradford College after the institution merged with Ilkley Community College in 1982, giving the combined College small satellite campus in the nearby town of Ilkley, which got closed in 1999. The College caters over 25,000 students offering foundation, undergraduate and master's degrees, which are validated by Leeds Beckett University, Teesside University, and Edexcel (Pearson).

Bradford College is a multi-award-winning College. The College was also announced as the winner of NEF Innovation Awards for being the best example of innovation in a STEM Course or Training programme. The College also achieved the Guinness World record in 2011 for the largest onion bhaji in the world, working in partnership with an award-winning restaurant- Prashad. Bradford College also received a training quality standard award because of its excellent work with employers.
