How much is my deposit?

Deposits for property properties are £250 where applicable.

What do you do with my deposit?

Your deposit is placed into property deposit protection scheme, where it will be held safely for the duration of your tenancy and will be returned to you at the end of your contract.

When do I get my deposit back?

Your deposit will be returned to you within 30 days of your tenancy agreement ending. The amount returned to you will depend on any outstanding charges and any damage found in your room or the communal areas of your apartment.

Upon arrival at the property, what do I need to bring with me?

When you come to pick up your keys all you need to provide is your photo ID.

What can/should I bring?

You can bring almost all your belongings, but please ensure electrical items are suitable to use in properties. Non-UK-compliant electricals are not suitable for use with UK power outlets. Bedding is not provided at properties, so bring a sheet to cover the mattress, a  duvet, and pillows. property bed sizes are small double these are 6ft 3 inches x 4ft.

Do I have access to onsite parking when I arrive to check in?

Some of properties have car parking facilities, on Check in weekend, we will have a number of spaces that are allocated for arrivals. If you have paid for a space, you will have access to this from your arrival date.

Do I need a UK Guarantor?

If you wish to pay your rent over more than one payment, you will need a UK guarantor.

I do not have a UK-based Guarantor but want to pay in installment?

Of course. When completing your contract, simply select “Use Housing  Hand as my Guarantor”. You will then be directed to the Housing Hand platform to complete your application with them.

I am an international student, can I pay in full?

Most students traveling from abroad do not have a UK based Guarantor and therefore opt to pay in full, yes.

As a sponsored student am I eligible to pay my rent in installment?

We may be able to accept sponsors in place of guarantors in some cases;  however, this depends on the terms of your sponsorship and whether your sponsor is willing to guarantee rent payments. If you are a sponsored student, please contact your chosen property directly to enquire about using a sponsor in place of guarantor.

What is included in my rent?

All utility bills such as gas, electricity, water as well as Wi-fi is included in your rent. Your TV license is not included in your rent.

Does my rent include insurance?

We’ve got you covered! Contents insurance is automatically included in your rent. Proeprty is working in partnership with Endsleigh in order to provide some cover for the contents inside your room. You don’t need to do anything to activate this cover, but it is important for you to check and ensure that you fully understand the protection provided and whether it is enough for your needs.
