How long does a viewing take?

It usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes to tour their student accommodation in person. However, they also offer virtual viewings! They can show you around via video call. Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp—just let them know what works best for you when booking.

What will I see at the viewing?

They will show you examples of the different room types available and are happy to answer any questions you have about the local area, building facilities, or anything else about the student accommodation.

Who can live at the student accommodation?

If you’re a full or part-time student enrolled at a recognised educational institution, they’d love you to live with them. They will need to see a copy of your Confirmation of Enrolment or Acceptance Confirmation from your institution as part of the booking process. If you are an international student, they will also need a copy of your visa.

Is there an age limit for booking with the student accommodation?

Under 18 students, provided it’s been confirmed by your university.

Are all the rooms the same?

Do you have a choice of room? While all their rooms benefit from the same high standards, modern style, and great features, there are different types of apartments, sizes, and views. Their apartments are priced to reflect these differences as far as possible. The best thing to do if you're not sure is to contact them, and they can talk you through the options and your requirements to find your perfect room.

Can I choose who I live with?

You can choose to live with your friends by selecting the same apartment when you book with them. Please note, this is subject to availability, so it’s best to book early to avoid disappointment!

Do I need to pay a deposit/bond?

Yes, when you book, you are required to pay a 2-week deposit to reserve your room, which will go towards your rent. You are also required to pay a bond (equivalent to 4 weeks' rent) before checking in. This will be registered with the RTBA (VIC), RBO (SA), or the DMIRS (WA) and held as a security deposit for the duration of your stay. It will then be refunded at the end of the tenancy provided you have no outstanding rent, damages to the room, or cleaning fees. If there are any damages to your room when you leave, you may be charged.

Do they provide single-gender only accommodation?

All of their properties are mixed genders but automatically split into single male or female apartments. If you would like to live with friends of mixed genders, they are happy to house you together. If you identify your gender, you can select your preferred apartment. However, this is subject to demand and flat availability, so they recommend getting in touch as early as possible with any requests.

Can I personalise my room?

As long as you are able to return it to its original state on check-out, or you will be recharged for any damages.

Where can I smoke?

They don’t allow smoking or vaping inside your residence, including the common areas (e.g., rooftop terraces). However, you’re free to smoke outside of the building.

No, unfortunately, their residences are filled to the brim with fun-loving students every year.

Are there any social events for residents?

They host socials all year round for you and your roommates to enjoy, from spiritual and cultural get-togethers to fitness events and much more.

If I don’t get on with my new roommates, can I change rooms?

They want to make sure that you love your experience living with them. If you find you’re not getting on with your new roommates, it may be possible to change rooms subject to availability. Get in touch with your resident team for more information. You will also be charged an admin fee to change rooms; this will only be waived if there are extenuating circumstances.

Where can I park when I’m unpacking?

When your move-in date approaches, they’ll be in touch to advise where you can park nearby to unload your belongings.

How do I pay rent?
