The Queensland University of Technology was formed as a result of a merger between Brisbane College of Advanced Education with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and the university was granted the university status in 1988. QUT is a public research university located in the coastal city of Brisbane, Queensland in Australia. The university is well known for its academic excellence, diversity and faculty population.


The university has partnerships with over 200 top universities across 43 countries and is home to more than 48,000 students. Students can choose from various subject areas such as Business, Science and Engineering, Health, Creative Industries, Education and Law.


The Queensland University of Technology has two major focused research institutes namely Institute for Future Environments and the Institute of Biomedical Innovation. The campus is also surrounded by parklands- as well as the Victoria Park golf complex. The Creative Industries Precinct includes many exhibition spaces, which are open to the public.
