Payment and Fees
Security Deposit
A security deposit of £199 per property is required. The security deposit is protected under MyDeposits.
Pay In Instalment
Students without a guarantor can pay the total contract value in 1 or 2 equal installments. Payment is also available in 4 installments, 10 installments, or monthly installments. Instalment and payment dates are flexible and can be discussed with the property team (for example, to align with Student Finance England payment dates). A minimum of 4 weeks' rent is required as the first instalment.
Mode Of Payment
Payments are processed through the Concurrent (StuRents) portal. A direct debit is usually required through the portal. Bank transfer may be accepted upon request.
Guarantor Requirement
A guarantor must: Be in full-time employment. Earn 2.5 to 3 times the monthly rent. Be over 25 years of age. Be a UK citizen, have indefinite leave to remain, or hold permanent residency. Not be a current tenant. If a tenant cannot provide a guarantor, they may use a third-party guarantor service such as Housing Hands. If no guarantor is used, payment must be made in 2 or 3 equal installments.
