When can I check in?

They can check you into your studio between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. This allows the team sufficient time to familiarise you with building and provide a full induction.

What is the difference between Bronze, Silver, Gold Plus and Platinum Rooms?

Size. Specifically the floor space. Each studio has the similar furniture, features, and decor, but it will differ in size.
There are some exceptions where the studios are categorised using a mix of reasons such as location and layout as well as size. Some rooms look and feel bigger/smaller because of their shape / natural light, so They’ve taken this into consideration when categorising them.

Do I need to arrange a TV License?

They do not provide any TV licenses so you’ll need to register for your own TV licence.

When rent is due, does it come out as a direct debit?

They ask their students to set up a direct debit for their rent payments – this means you can focus on your studies, not spend time managing rent payments.

How secure is your accommodation?

Their student accommodation is extremely secure. Their properties are all accessed by a fob or card system, and each room has its own secure lock. They also offer 24-hour CCTV, Their Bauhaus support team are onsite from 7.30am to 5.00pm, and out of hours and weekend support via Their external security provider.

Do I need to be a student to stay with you?

Yes, only full-time students can live in properties.

Can my family stay with me?

No, They do not accept family members to stay on a permanent basis. One family member can visit for a few days with prior permission from Property. Please speak to a member of the Bauhaus support team to discuss.

Are my personal items insured while I stay with you?

They do not provide insurance for personal items. Students must arrange their own insurance for personal items.

Is public transport available to the university?

There are regular and very reliable bus services to both Robert Gordon University and the University of Aberdeen, with bus stops located locally to the properties. Free bus travel is available to students under 22 years of age. The journey to both universities is approx. 20 minutes from their city centre locations.

Can I have pets at the property?

Only assistance dogs are allowed into their properties. Pets of any kind are strictly prohibited.

Can I personalise my room?

Definitely! All They ask is that the room is left in the same condition that it was when you moved in. This means that any items placed on the walls must be removed and any associated damage made good prior to checking out.

Do I have to move out during the holidays?
