Not at all! All their self-contained studios have an en-suite bathroom and kitchen area within the apartment. There is a communal student area outside of your studio that has individual and group study spaces, pool tables, gym facilities and relaxation and social zones for you to enjoy whenever you need a break from university work!

As a disabled person I have specific requirements for my living needs, can accommodation residential cater for these?

They make every effort to ensure that their accommodation is assessable for all, and they will always do everything they can to find you suitable accommodation. All accommodation buildings have step-free/level access. They can provide information on the availability of disabled parking for customers there are accessible WC’s in the communal areas for visitors, adaptations can be made to their studios including grabrail provisions in bathrooms, stair lifts in accessible duplex apartments, visual fire alarms ad assisted door opening for devices if required.

What bills do I need to pay?

All utility bill (gas, water and electricity) Super-fast Wi-Fi and contents insurance for your belongings are included.

You are responsible for the purchase of a TV License if you intend to watch or record live terrestrial TV programmes or use BBC iPlayer. Even if you have been provided with a TV by accommodation, If you do not wish to purchase a TV License you will need to complete a TV license exemption form which will be available from your accommodation team.

Is bedding included within the room?

Bedding is not included as standard in your room. You can purchase a starter pack which includes kitchen utensils, bedding and more. All items will be waiting for you in your room when you arrive.

Are fridges included in the rooms?

Yes – every studio and apartment has a fridge with a freezer compartment.

Do I need to bring any furniture?

All of their apartments come complete with high quality furnishings that provide ample storage and comfort. Because of fire restrictions, you are not allowed to bring your own furniture or large appliances (eg. Fridges, heater, air-conditioner) with you.

Are there kitchen facilities in my room?

All of their studios will include a combination microwave oven/grill a ceramic hob, a sink, a fridge with freezer compartment, and storage space for your food. If you're staying in one of their cluster rooms, then these appliances will be in the shared kitchen.

Do I need to bring my own saucepans, plates cutlery, etc?

Well that’s up to you! If you want to bring your own equipment, then there is plenty of storage space, but they also offer excellent starter packs for a one-off cost which includes all of the kitchen and apartment essentials you will need and will be waiting for you in your room on arrival.

Don't forget to order your bedding, bathroom, kitchen and living essentials for your studio. If you order one of their premium accommodation Packs, you'll get this delivered to your studio in time for your move in date – leaving you less to pack, and less to go out and buy in the shops. Remember, your studio doesn’t include bedding so as a minimum consider ordering your bedding pack directly from them for the perfect first night sleep. ‍

Is there a tv in my room?

Yes! Every studio and apartment is fitted with a flat screen SMART TV. The TV comes complete with Freeview and the ability to download apps once connected to your super fast Wi-Fi! Their En-suite room do not have a TV; however, each communal kitchen has a large TV.

Is there wi-fi in the building?

All their buildings offer a superfast Wi-Fi Connection which allows you to stay connected wherever you are in the building: in your studio, around the residence or in the hub space.

You will also have their own individual private & secure personal wireless network. Unlike services at other providers, not only can you connect each of your devices to the internet, but you can also enable 10 personal SMAT devices to discover and connect to each other. This means that you can share content between your SMART devices on a private and secure way just like you would in a traditional home setting, and you can do it safe in the knowledge that nobody else in the building can connect to them.

Is there a common room?

One of the best things about living with accommodation is the amazing communal space that is open for all residents to enjoy. There is incredibly comfortable seating, pool tables, cinema areas and private study spaces that are all perfect for you to enjoy on your own or in groups.

Will I get a cleaner?

They do not have a cleaning service however, if you would like to book in additional deep cleans, please speak to a member of the management team who can discuss the options with you and book in additional clean at a time to suit you.

The house keeping team will also clean all communal areas but are not responsible for throwing your rubbish, so please be mindful and respect the building.

Can my friend store their belongings in my room?

Only your belongings are covered by the insurance policy, so to ensure that all belongings are insured they would advise that you do not act as their friend's storage facility.

Can I have a guest to stay/visit?

They do allow guests to stay overnight for up to two consecutive nights, but they will need to sign in with the residence team at reception and cannot have their own key fob. Any guests must be always with and cannot be left alone in your room – this is due to only you as the resident being fully aware of their health and safety processes and polices.

Is your accommodation suitable for mature students?

Absolutely! You can enjoy the privacy of your own studio without having to share a kitchen but can enjoy the social aspect of living in a development with fantastic communal space!

Are there specific times of the day that I can move in?

You can move in anytime on the date your contract starts. Their team will be in residence 24/7 so you can move in any time, day or night after your contract begins. However, to make sure you have the best experience possible, it's always advised that you book a move in appointment so that they can ensure everything is ready for you.

How safe is my room?

Your room is very safe – all door entry is key fobbed/coded they have CCTV and their on-site staff are available at reception or patrolling the building 24 hours a day. Their job is to always protect you and the building.

Can I smoke in my room?

No. As per UK Legislation it is against the law to smoke indoors. Also, per your agreement, it is not permitted to smoke inside and accommodation building. There are designated smoking areas at each of the developments which you are welcome to use.

Can family and friends bring their cars when they come to visit?

All their developments have public car parks located close by.

Can I bring my car?

All their developments are in fantastic city centre locations that are close to the university and have great links to public transport. They also have to consider the impact on the environment when building their developments and because of this, the great location and the links to transport, they have not provided car parking spaces at any of the developments. Some of their accommodation offer parking with extra cost. Please contact the property team for more information.

Where do I was my clothes?

All their residences have an on-site laundry room with washing and drying machines where you’ll simply pad ad hoc for any washing or drying you need. The laundry rooms are open 24 hours a day.

Is detergent provided?

Detergent is not provided as standard but, in some residences, they do have detergent available to purchase. You will be able to speak to your residence team when you move in to understand if detergent is required.
