Located in Middlesbrough, Teesside in North East England, the Teesside University is a public university which has its origins traced back to 1930. Founded initially as the further and higher education college, the Constantine Technical College, later on, became the Teesside Polytechnic post visible significant developments and extension in 1969.


Subsequently, on 16 June 1992, following the Further and Higher Education Act, the Teesside Polytechnic was granted its university status and was renamed as the University of Teesside. Later on, in 2009, the university changed its name from the University of Teesside to "Teesside University" and adopted the motto "Inspiring success". 


Catering over 20,000 students, the Teesside University offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in subjects including Business, Accounting, Marketing & Enterprise, Life & Physical Sciences, Computer Animation & Visual Effects, Engineering, Media & Communications, Nursing, Midwifery & Health Professions, Social Work and Psychology.

Currently referred to as the Centre for Professional and Executive Development (CPED), the campus is hardly a mile away from the city centre and is well-connected to the city via public transport.
