Yes. the accommodation accepts local students who are under 18 years of age at the time when moving in. For international students, we only accepts 17 years of age and above.

How much time is needed to travel from the accommodation?

Approximately 18 minutes by public transport.

How do I reserve an apartment with the accommodation?

To reserve your apartment with the accommodation you need to complete the online application form, choose the room type you would like to book and follow the prompts.

What gas, water and electricity costs am I responsible for?

All utilities are included in your rent.

How much is the Internet / WiFi and how much bandwidth do I have?

Unlimited WiFi internet is included in your rent. Bandwidth is up to 10Mbps (entry level speed), upgrade plans to 25Mbps or 100Mbps are available at cost.

Yes, contents insurance is not provided by the accommodation so tenants are encouraged to get their own policy.

Good news is that when you first arrive in Melbourne as an international student of the accommodation you can arrange for a transfer from the airport to take you to your accommodation.

Is a security deposit (Bond) and advanced rental payment required on arrival?

Yes. You're required to pay $500 deposit to accept the offer, which is credited towards the full security deposit of $1,000. The remaining $500 is payable on arrival. Advanced 1 month rental payment is payable on arrival, then 2 months of advanced payment thereafter. Your rent is due for payment on the first day of each month, and is to be maintained in credit for 2 months in advance. If you've purchased a Your Shop pack, payment is also payable on arrival.

Do I need to pay a departure clean fee in advance?

Yes the cost is $150 per person and charged upon arrival (as part of the start up fees).

What do I need to bring when checking in at the property?

On arrival, photo ID, and Certificate of Enrolment (COE) is required. All pre-arrival details are detailed in the Letter of Offer you will receive.

Is there a cost for an extra guest to stay over?

Guests are allowed to stay over at the accommodation for a maximum of 4 consecutive nights at a time without charge on existing bedding. This requires management approval in advance

What are the costs associated with an early termination of my lease?

The early termination admin fee is 1 week rent but this requires minimum 28 days’ notice of intention to vacate, and important to note that rental obligation continues, until the tenant finds an acceptable replacement to take over the lease - therefore it is not a simple matter of paying 1 weeks rent and leaving.
