The university usually known as QUB or Queen's, is a public research university with its roots in 1810 and is situated in the capital city of Belfast. In 1845, the "RBA Institution," afterwards known as Queen's College, was established. Queen's College was granted university status in 1908 as a result. The QUB offers a variety of academic programmes for nearly 23,000 undergraduate and graduate students in various areas, with literature, business, and medicine among the most popular choices.
It is not just one of the top universities in Ireland and the UK. Still, it is also a member of the Russell Group and has affiliations with Universities UK, Universities Ireland, ACU, and EUA. Queen's University ranks 85th in the world according to Times Higher Education (THE), and 13 subjects taught by QUB are ranked in the top 200 by world QS rankings. Ranked among the top 20 universities in the UK in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020, Queen's University has also seen an impressive 96 per cent of its graduates either in employment or further education within six months of graduating.
