Direct Debit (Preferred Method) A Direct Debit mandate must be set up from a UK bank account. This will be sent along with your Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) agreement and rent schedule. No additional charge is applied for Direct Debit payments. 3. Debit Card Payments via StuRents Online Portal UK GBP Payments: A flat fee of £1.50 applies for all booking fees, deposits, or manual rent payments made via debit card from the UK or EEA. Non-GBP / International Payments: A flat fee of £1.50, plus a card fee of up to 2%, applies for payments made from outside the EEA.

    Guarantor Requirement

    For 25-26 AY & 26-27 AY:- 1. To pay in instalments, you are required to provide a qualified UK Guarantor. 2. Housing Hand (a third-party company) can act as your guarantor if you do not have a qualified UK Guarantor. The Housing Hand guarantor service can be selected during your tenancy application. 3. The property does not accept international guarantors. Please note: The property reserves the right to reject nominated Guarantor applications if the requested information is not provided and the nominated Guarantor does not meet the minimum requirements. The minimum requirements for a Guarantor are: • UK resident in full-time employment (including Self Employment Status) • Retired (subject to financial status shown on Proof of Address)

    Security Deposit

    For 25-26 AY & 26-27 AY:- 1. You need to pay a deposit (GBP 150 for En-suites and GBP 200 for Studio) to secure your room with the property. 2. This will be refunded, within 10 days, to you at the end of your tenancy period less any rental arrears or costs for damage caused to your room/communal areas. Note: The deposit amount is subject to change based on availability.

    Additional Fees

    For 25-26 AY & 26-27 AY:- Property Management offers dual occupancy in all studio units. An additional fee of £50 per week will apply.

    Rooms are inspected at check-out. Any damages or missing items may lead to deductions. Forgotten items are disposed of — belongings can’t be stored after move-out.

    Damage or missing items may be charged. Shared items — cost may be split among roommates unless one person accepts full responsibility.

    Can friends stay overnight?

    Yes — guests are permitted to stay up to 3 nights. You need to inform your flatmates and the accommodation team in advance; you remain responsible for your guest.

    How are maintenance requests handled?

    You can report issues via the accommodation’s app or portal. Repairs are prioritised (emergencies, urgent, non-urgent) and carried out according to schedule.

    What happens if rent is not paid?

    Payment must clear before check-in. If you fail to pay on time, a debt recovery process begins (contact guarantor if applicable), which can include legal action and credit penalty.
