Founded in the year 1961, The University of Sussex is a public research university located in Brighton, a city in the southern coast of England. The University of Sussex is situated inside the South Downs National Park and is the 1st University located inside a National Park.

The university received its Royal Charter in the month of August 1961 and currently caters over 18,000 students from all over the world. 

Apart from this, the University offers a range of both undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses in various different subjects out of which the famous ones include Geography, Developmental Studies, History, Anthropology and English
