The BIMM Institute, previously recognized as the British and Irish Modern Music (BIMM) Institute, stands as a consortium of eight independent institutions dispersed across vibrant locations like Brighton, Bristol, Dublin, Birmingham, Manchester, Berlin, Hamburg, and London, collectively nurturing over 7,000 passionate students. At its core, BIMM is committed to delivering innovative and inspiring education in the realm of creative arts.
BIMM started on its journey, in the city of Brighton back in 2001 as the Brighton Institute of Modern Music. The institution's growth continued with the establishment of BIMM Bristol in 2008. Showing its commitment to music education the BIMM Group took a step forward in 2010 by acquiring Tech Music School London (TMS). This led to the birth of BIMM Dublin in 2011 followed by the opening of BIMM Manchester in 2013. Expanding internationally BIMM established itself firmly with BIMM Berlin in 2015. BIMM Birmingham in 2017. The recent addition to this lineup is BIMM Hamburg, which welcomed students in 2019.
In October 2014, the organization underwent a transformation, adopting the name "BIMM Institute," signifying its dedication to fostering modern music education in both British and Irish contexts. Notably, Tech Music School now seamlessly integrates with BIMM London, situated in the vibrant enclave of Fulham. For students in search of educational prospects and a welcoming environment, student accommodation near BIMM emerges as an ideal choice for their accommodation needs of international students.
