Exeter College


Exeter college is located in Devon, Exeter and is a general further education college. The College has its origins in the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in 1869. It became an independent institution as the Exeter Technical and University Extension College in 1893 and relocated to its present main campus in the year 1959. Established in 1970 as the first English further education college, Exeter College jointly runs the Exeter Mathematics School with the University of Exeter. Exeter College was awarded the Times Educational Supplement' Outstanding Provider of the Year in 2012 and BTEC College of the Year in 2014. Exeter College was also named best in the South West for employer satisfaction in Apprenticeships. Exeter College provides tertiary education to around 10,000 – 12,000 students. Exeter college offers over 20 university level courses, foundation degrees in partnership with Edexcel and the universities of Plymouth, Exeter, Marjon and Kingston.

Hele Road site 

Hele Road site is the main headquarters of the College, and it is where many of the administration and support departments are based.It's the largest of all of the other sites.

Maths and Science Centre is located on Queen Street in Exeter Devon. The centre provides facilities that can enhance those with an interest and talent in maths, computing and science. The centre is also home to a student cafe, pub and interview rooms.

Victoria House

Victoria House offers courses like Business, IT, Sports, and Tourism courses. There is also a student social zone located on the ground floor with food and drink available and is located on 33/36 Queen Street.

Centre for Creative Industries

The Centre for Creative Industries is for students with a passion for art, theatre, media and dance. It also has a dedicated art gallery to showcase the amazing work of students. It is located on Victoria Yard, Off Queen Street.

Sports Hall, Gym & Dance Studio

The Sports Hall, Gym and Dance Studio have six badminton court space, two classrooms and a specialised fully equipped sports therapy room. The new Gym and Dance Studio is an extension to the College's £5.9 million Sports Hall in Victoria Yard in the centre of the city, also located in Victoria Yard, Off Queen Street.

Centre for Music and Performance

Located on 26, Queen Street, The Centre for Music and Performance is for music and performing arts students.

Exwick Sports Pavilion

Exwick Sports Pavilion has outstanding sports and fitness facilities, and it is located on Ennerdale Way, Exwick.

Technology Centre 

Technology Centre provides aerospace, engineering and automotive students with state of the art equipment and learning spaces for students. Technology Centre is located on College Way, Exeter.

Construction Centre

It is located on Falcon Road, Sowton Industrial Estate in Exeter. Construction Centre provides excellent facilities for students, including learning centre suites that run CAD, and workshop facilities, practical training space for all of the construction and building services by the specialists.

Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre

Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre is an award-winning centre, in partnership with Devon County Council, offering activities like

sailing, climbing, caving, orienteering, archery, raft building and team building. Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre is located on Haven Road.
