Evington doesn't have much transport other than buses. Evington is served by Centrebus lines 22A and 81 and First Leicester service 22. Once you reach Leicester, there are more means of transport.
Bus
Buses run between the city centre and most other regions, including the University campus. Buses are operated by several firms, the most significant of which are Arriva and First Leicester. The typical bus price is roughly £3 each day.
The Students' Union sells annual Arriva City Student Tickets, which can provide savings to students who often use Arriva bus services.
Cycling
Cycling is enjoyable, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly. Many students choose to ride their bikes to and from university. Students in the United Kingdom ride on the left side of the road. Cyclists can only use footpaths if a cycle lane is designated.
Taxis
Leicester City Council issues taxi operator licences and conducts inspections to verify that criteria are met. Taxis are required to show their licence information, which students can typically see next to the registration plate at the back of the vehicle and inside the car above the front passenger seat.
