The studios come with a compact double bed, en-suite bathrooms, a private kitchenette, a study area, and a storage area. On the other hand, the two-bed apartment has a compact double bed, shared bathroom, kitchen facilities, and a study area and storage space. The common amenities at the property include a gym, free high-speed wi-fi, a games area, and a personal mailbox. One can also visit the 33rd-floor Library and Balcony as well as the bar and lounge area on the 32nd floor.

What is included in the price?

All utility bills – water, electricity, gas, internet, gym and use of all the social spaces – are included in the price. There are no hidden charges, what student see on your contract is what students pay (besides any damage to the room or fees students incur).

Am I allowed to have guests to stay?

Students are welcome to have guests through the daytime, and an overnight guest for a reasonable amount of nights. Students need to get permission from management for an extended period. Accommodation mus provide a form of ID to check in through your resident portal, and students will be responsible for accommodation throughout their stay. Please note, students will also need written consent from management if your overnight guest is under 18  years of age. 

How secure is the accommodation?

Management have CCTV in and around each property, an electronic key entry system for the main entrance, common areas, each flat and bedroom. There is also staff on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Will I need to pay council tax?

In the UK, students are exempt from paying council tax – student won’t need to pay this, but if the council do mistakenly bill student, students will need to provide details to prove that students are in full-time education. 

Do I need a TV licence?

If students bring your own TV or want to watch or record programmers as they are shown live (including on mobile phones, tablets or computers), student will need to apply and pay for a TV License. This also includes TVs provided by PMG.

What if something in my apartment breaks down?

If students having any problems with your room, a shared living space, or one of the communal areas, student have two options. Student can log the issue via the Resident portal, providing details so pmg maintenance team can get this sorted for student as soon as possible. Alternatively, student can come down to the front desk and talk to a member of the team so management can log it on their behalf. 

Can I have pets?

Unfortunately, students are not allowed to keep any pets in their room or any shared living spaces. 

What happens if I don't get on with my new flatmates?

Accommodation wants the Student university experience to be as positive as possible – if student are having any issues with your flatmates, please let us know. Management will do best to help resolve any problems student might be having. 

Can I receive post and parcels?

Lockable mailboxes located in the lobby (or speak to the front desk team to locate yours) - your room key card may also give student access to this  (please check with the front desk team to know more). If any larger packages or anything that requires a signature arrives for student, accommodation hold onto it and let student know via text or email so student can come and collect it. For security reasons, students will need to provide a photo ID and give a signature to confirm collection. The post will not be given out to other residents on your behalf without written authorisation. 

Can I live with my friends?

Accommodation are more than happy to accommodate groups as well as individuals. Let us know who students planning to live with, and accomodation do best to accommodate student in the same flat.

Am I allowed to live with a partner or friend? How much will it cost?

Two people can share some of the bigger studios at properties, which will add an additional £100 per week to the rent. Please contact us directly if this is something students like to organize. Please note, both inhabitants need to be full-time students, studying at least 20 hours per week. 

Do I need a guarantor?

Accommodation needs details for a guarantor for every lease, even if the student intends to pay in 1 instalment. This is because accommodation will take responsibility for any unpaid arrears or damage during your tenancy period. Your guarantor will need to be someone who is not in full-time education, or living in student housing. 

Who can be my guarantor?

Student guarantor can be anyone not currently in full-time education. Accommodation do not need to be a UK resident either. Most residents use a parent,  guardian, or family member. However, please note students cannot act as your own guarantor. 

Is there an age limit for booking the accommodation?

As a minimum age requirement, all PMG residents need to be or have turned 18 during their tenancy with us. This is due to the legally binding tenancy agreement that each resident is required to sign before arrival. Accommodation have no upper age limits on accommodation, so long as the resident is in full-time education for the duration of their stay. 

Do accommodation choose offer any discounts?

If students pay in 1 instalment, your total amount payable will be 2% cheaper than if students chose to pay in 2 instalments. If students pay in 4 instalments, your total amount payable will be 2% more expensive than if students chose to pay in 2 instalments. 

How can I make payment?

Students can make a payment using a credit or debit card, either on the Internet or over the phone. Students can also make a payment via bank transfer - please speak to the team for details. 

Can I Pay my holding fee over the phone?

If students experiencing problems booking online or would prefer to speak to the accommodation Bookings team directly. 

What appliances and furniture are included in my room?

All rooms come with a bed, desk and chair. Extras such as kettles, toasters and lamps are not provided.
