You can book at Courtyard Block C online by selecting the property, click on the book now button and then follow the instructions from there. Once you have completed the online booking form and paid the deposit, you’ll be sent your contract for signature. Once you have signed the contract, your booking will be complete.
Courtyard Block C do not charge a booking fee. To secure your booking you will be required to pay a £350 deposit, which will be refunded at the end of your tenancy.
Courtyard Block C contracts start on 01 September of each year. Subject to availability you may be able to move in earlier.
All booking requests for Courtyard Block C student accommodation made on the website are subject to acceptance by us. Property are not obliged to accept your booking request and may, at discretion, decline to accept any booking request for any reason. If they are unable to make you an offer of accommodation, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and refund your deposit in full. Where they accept your booking request, we’ll send you a Tenancy Agreement for your signature. You will need sign the contract to confirm the booking. For international students the rent at Courtyard Block C is payable in advance. For UK students the rent is payable in four instalments with the first instalment one month prior to moving in and the remaining three instalments in line with student loan payments.
You will be able to collect the keys to your Courtyard Block C accommodation on the arrival day as stated in your tenancy agreement. You must notify them of your preferred check-in time 5 days prior to arriving either by calling us, email them at or message property. All of our buildings are highly secure and have a combination of bio-metric, fob and key entry system. Upon arrival, staff will process your enrolment and provide you with a set of keys and fob to enter the property.
You will need to bring your own bedding, cutlery, cookware and bin at Courtyard Block C student accommodation. You will also need cleaning materials and toiletries. If you are travelling from outside the UK, wait until you arrive before purchasing electrical items, or bring adapter plugs compatible with the voltage system.
You’ll have to move out at the end of your tenancy term. If you plan to extend or stay on at Courtyard Block C, please let them know ASAP so they can ensure you can have the same studio. You will be required to return the studio in the same condition it was provided. In general, you will be required to clean your studio including the kitchen area and ensuite and dispose of all rubbish in the designated bin store. Failure to clean the studio and any damages will be subject to charges, hence they recommend you make an appointment with the accommodation manager to inspect your studio and let you know exactly what is required.
The Courtyard Block C have enhanced security. You can only enter the building through bio-metric door entry, this is followed by a fob to enter to your specific floor and a key to enter your studio. If you have any concerns about security or are unable to enter the building, you can call them 24/7 or contact them through WhatsApp.
Smoking is prohibited in your Courtyard Block C student accommodation studio and in the building. Smoking is only allowed outdoor in the designated smoking area.
Electricity and water is included within your rent at Courtyard Block C. Hot water is available 24/7 and you have your own heater with a thermostat so you can control the temperature.
Free superfast wi-fi is available throughout the Courtyard Block C. In addition, in the Courtyard Block A and Block B each studio has its own ethernet connection. When you move in the accommodation manager will provide you with details on how to connect to the internet.
As a full-time student at the University of Huddersfield you do not have to pay Council Tax.
TVs are provided in the Games Room and in each studio. The TV in the Games Room is covered by the Landlord’s TV License. If you will be watching TV in your studios you will be responsible for getting your own TV License.
Property is responsible for maintenance. However, it is your responsibility to promptly notify if something is not working or requires repair. If you fail to report it in a timely manner you will be held responsible for damage caused as a result of late notification.
If something is broken or faulty, please contact the accommodation manager know ASAP. For emergencies, you can call them 24/7 or send amessage through email, WhatsApp.
Regular mail will be delivered by the postman to your personal mailbox located on the ground floor in the Courtyard and the basement in Broomfield House. When moving-in you will be provided a key for your personal mail box.
For courier or food deliveries, the delivery person will be able to contact you through the main intercom system - your flat number will be connected to your mobile. For security of all residents, you will be required to go down to the main gate entrance and personally collect your items. Please ensure that an up-to-date mobile number is provided so it can be linked to the intercom system.
