Reception at Damside is open Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays), from 10am-4pm. If reception needs to close for any reason, you will be updated, in writing, as soon as possible. There is an out of hours number given to all students when they arrive for any issues that occur when we are not here. We also have a security team that is available to call 24 hours a day. This number is also given to students on check in!
The gym is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Damside. As it is on the ground floor, you will not be disturbing anyone regardless of the time you wish to use the equipment. We just ask that you sign a disclaimer, stating that you will use the equipment appropriately, before you do!
All bills are included, including WiFi in the Damside rent. You just need to sign up with an account with ask4 when you check in, and then we pay! The only thing we do not provide is a TV licence.
Damside has a cleaner on site 5 days a week. She cleans all the communal areas and the corridors of the accommodation. However, she does not clean your rooms, and she does not do your dishes! You are expected to do that yourselves! We have dishwashers in the kitchens, and 2 student vacuums for vacuuming your rooms, available at reception.
Damside has a maintenance man who comes once a week to fix any issues we have in the rooms or the building. If the issue cannot wait until his next visit, we have contractors who we can call to come out sooner.
