Can I live with friends?

Definitely! If you’re interested in living in a cluster flat with your friends, just let them know who you want to live with, and they’ll do their best to make it happen. Be aware, they are more likely to be able to facilitate this early in the year, with many sites selling out the closer they get to september.

How do I know who I’m living with?

They don’t give out names for privacy reasons, but you can get a better idea of who you’ll be living with via their resident's groups that are shared prior to check-in or by asking your site team to provide you with information such as gender, year and uni.

When can I move in?

About two months before your move-in date (selected when booking), you’ll be able to book a move-in slot that works for you. if you need any support for accessibility or travel reasons, be sure to let them know at this stage. If you need an early check-in, they may be able to help too, just reach out to your residence team and they’ll be happy to let you know availability and pricing.

Do I need a deposit?

Unlike many other providers, they don’t require a deposit to secure your booking. Instead, they ask for an advance rent payment, which they’ll take off your first rent instalment. It’s like a little gift to yourself when september rolls around!

Can I cancel after booking?

They work on a 5 day “cooling off” period. This means that should you need to, you can cancel your booking within 5 days of signing your tenancy agreement, as long as you have not yet moved in.
If you need to cancel after the “cooling off” period, they’ll allow it in certain circumstances, like if your uk visa is refused or you don’t make the grades for your chosen university. Just make sure to send them your ucas notification or visa refusal documentation within 72 hours of receiving it.
You can also transfer your obligations to someone else if you find a replacement tenant who’s eligible to live in the property. They’ll need to run some checks to confirm their eligibility, but once everything’s in order, they’ll take over the tenancy agreement.

Can I book a viewing online?

To book a viewing, just complete the contact form. They’ll send you a confirmation email once your viewing time is confirmed. Easy peasy!

What if I have additional needs?

They have permanent accessible and temporary adaptable access rooms available to suit your needs. For more information about these rooms, please contact the residence team directly.

What if my student loan is late?

If your student loan payment is late, please get in touch with the residence team at your location for advice.

How is my rent paid?

You can pay by logging in to the concurrent portal using your reference number and password. Payments can be made via direct debit or bank transfer.

As an international student, you can pay via bank transfer (transfermate) or credit card (please note this may incur a transaction fee). For more information, refer to your booking documents or contact your residence team.

What do I do if I am not completely satisfied?

If you’re not completely satisfied with your stay, don’t worry, they’re here to help! They take all complaints seriously and will do their best to fix any issues as soon as possible. Just check out their complaints procedure for your specific location.

Can I bring my pet with me?

As much as they love pets, unfortunately, they’re not allowed in their accommodation unless they are registered service animals – sorry!

What if I have an issue with my room? Need something repaired?

You can log any maintenance issues using the Concurrent App and their Residence team will be on hand to respond to requests as soon as possible!

Am I allowed to smoke at the property?

All their student accommodation is smoke-free, so please use designated smoking areas outside the buildings or in the courtyards.

How do I connect to the internet?

Connecting to the internet is easy – just connect your devices to the wireless network on arrival. You can also use an ethernet cable, which you can plug into the network wall socket in your room.

Are my things covered by insurance?

In partnership with endsleigh, they include free contents insurance for every student that opts to live in one of their buildings. Once you’ve registered with my endsleigh, you can instantly access your cover details and policy documents to check exactly what’s included and have the option to upgrade the level of cover if needed. Their claims team is on hand to advise whenever needed.

What can’t I do in my accommodation?

For health and safety reasons, they don’t allow candles, incense burners, deep fat fryers, or any electrical appliances that don’t comply with british standards and statutory regulations. They are also unable to accommodate e-scooters or any other alternatives. Please don’t bring any of these on-site.

Who will come into my room?

They carry out room inspections three times a year and occasionally health and safety checks, but they’ll always give you at least 24 hours’ notice before entering your room.

How much fridge space is there in the studio rooms?

All studios come with a small fridge with a freezer compartment.

Can I bring my rice cooker/electric pressure cooker?

Sorry, but they don’t allow rice cookers or electric pressure cookers – their high voltage can be dangerous.

Do you have an airport pickup service?

They don’t offer airport pick-up services, but their locations have great transport links with buses, trains, and taxi services available. If you need help organising your transport then feel free to reach out to the your residence team.

What if I need to leave before my tenancy ends?

Will my bedroom be inspected when I move out?

Yes, your room will be inspected at least three times during your tenancy for maintenance checks. Any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items will be logged and addressed accordingly. After each visit, you will be informed of any issues found, and if there will be any charges for correcting them.

Do I need to move out for the holidays?

No, you don’t need to vacate your room during the holiday breaks. Your room is yours for the entire duration of your tenancy, and you only need to move out at the end of the agreement.

What if I want to stay over summer?

You can book your room for the entire year (51 weeks) or opt for a shorter tenancy where available and extend it for the summer period. Get in touch with the residence team at your chosen location for more information.

How do you protect my money?

A small double bed, also known as a 3/4 size bed, measures approximately 120cm wide x 190cm long.

Can I still receive deliveries?

Depending on your location, your post may be delivered directly through your door by Royal Mail or collected from on-site post boxes. You can receive larger parcels at reception, but unfortunately they can’t accept liability for any loss or damage.

Can I/my friends park at the building?
